2001 ~ A year to remember
|
It has been an excellent year for my family and I. Christmas
2000 was a great celebration for all of us. We, as usual spent it with
my sister, her family, and my parents in their new home up in Camano Island.
It's a huge house with a gorgeous 180 degree view of the mountains. Scott found a 10 foot
tree and we all shared wonderful family moments around it.
January was another great birthday. Scott showered me with roses and
a gorgeous pair of diamond earings to match the tennis bracelet he'd given me for Christmas.
February we got busy looking for a new home. I'd lived at my old apartment
for over 6 years and it was time to move on. We found this
plentiful house with 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms as well as a yard, laundry room,
large open kitchen huge dinning room and spacious lounge,
oh and of course, Scott's new home - the garage :-)
March was a very stressful month spent packing and unpacking. The day we moved in
there was one of the largest earthquakes we'd had in this area for years. Scott and I
thought that the earth was going to crumble under us,
but luckily it just waved hello and left no damage.
April is full of birthdays. So we spent most of it celebrating -
not to mention my mothers special day. I won't publish the number,
but she still looks as beautiful as ever.
May and June went fast enjoying the spring and fishing with the boys.
July we went camping with friends in Moses Lake. It was my first nights sleeping
in a tent. Hmmm a bit bumpy!
August was the best month ever! Scott and I decided that we'd get away before
we hit Florida the next week. We spent a spontaneous weekend up in Canada. The last
week in August we travelled to the opposite end of America to spend a week in the
best fantasy land around.
September was a month filled with gratitude that our family was safe.
October is another full birthday month. Scott turned 33 and I'm thinking it will
be his best year yet.
November we spent recovering from Halloween and prepared a delicous meal for
our extended family of 12. Scott did an amazing Thanksgiving dinner where my mother
and his father enjoyed their similar opionated selves for the first time since Scott and I
had met.
December we'll be busy preparing for my return to school. (I got accepted
back into Cornish College of the Arts, and this time I'm going to finish that BFA!)
Wishing you all a Very Happy Holidays, love Us :-)
