2002 ~ A very busy year!
|
January: I turned 30 and, as promised, I went back to Cornish College of the Arts to get a Bachelors of Fine Art.
It is a weird experience being the oldest student in the class, but so far, I've gotten all A's
and have enjoyed balancing school and work. Being back in the creative world is a wonderful change.
February: Mum and Dad celebrated their 31st year together, and Scott took a
Leap of Faith. He actually enjoyed the Leap so much he became a full time
volunteer. The weekend long class is where one learns to turn fear into power by facing physical confrontations with
mock attackers. Scott is now one of those mock attackers.
March: I conducted my first Reiki class and the boys went fishing.
April: was my most favorite month since this is the one where Scott asked me to marry him. I, of course,
said yes and so we have plans to be married at the
Monte Villa Farmhouse on July 20th, 2003. Everyone's invited, so let us
know if you'll be in the area.
May and June: was as usual full of birthdays, including Mother's special day. I won't say, but she's looking
younger everyday. It was also a big birthday for Scott's uncle in Oregon. During our visit, I got to meet the whole 'Owen' family. We also spent
tons of time on our new Japanese garden - it's beautiful!
July: we spent many weekends away. We visited Victoria, Canada and had high tea at the Empress Hotel.
This was our 2nd year anniversary and to celebrate, I asked him to marry me this time. The proposal wasn't met
with tears of joy, but an engagement ring made him very happy.
August: was a busy month free from school work, so I conducted my 2nd
Reiki class. We treated ourselves to a weekend away in crescent bar
east of the mountains where we finally decided not to buy the 40 acres of land we wanted - perhaps next year?
Nearing the end of summer vacation, Scott and I enjoyed a romantic evening away at Tillicum village.
September: Caio, Hayden and I returned to school.
October: Was my 5th year anniversary working for Boeing. I start accumilating more vacation! yeah and
I got to eat lunch with the big boss ;-) See the Boy's photos - this year
Caio was really scary for Halloween!
November: I finally took my own Leap of Faith. It was a tremendous trip, and recommend it to anyone. Scott and I
quickly recovered from this healing weekend, and headed towards Canada for a Millionaire Mind intensive. Then, the next weekend
we went to
Ocean Shores to relax in the Penthouse with some dear friends. A weekend that will soon become an annual
event. We squeezed in Scott's and Dad's birthday's, and finished the month at Bex's house for a wonderful
Thanksgiving meal - yum!
December: Has been a month of running around catching up on all the loose ends that weren't taken care of
during the past months at school and work. I'm sure these next two weeks at home will be just what the doctor ordered.
Wishing you all a Very Happy Holidays, love Us :-)
